Bengaluru Namma Metro Construction On 5 Pillars Near Tin Factory Back On Track After Stalled Work

After a five-day halt, the Bengaluru Namma Metro construction near Tin Factory on the Outer Ring Road line has resumed following an incident where work was reportedly stopped due to a landowner pouring waste oil on a pillar.

Police Commissioner B Dayananda stressed the importance of property protection and ensuring security for ongoing operations.

BMRCL Director, Projects and Planning D Radhakrishna Reddy, informed TNIE, "BMRCL MD Anjum Parwez briefed Police Commissioner B Dayananda about the property damage and the necessity for security to ensure uninterrupted work.

The senior officer instructed Mahadevapura police to furnish security, and inspector Praveen Babu facilitated the arrangement." Reddy added that the police notified BMRCL about Syed Fayaz, responsible for damaging the reinforcement with waste oil, and mentioned his involvement in other FIRs.

Preparations for the caps on the four piers have commenced. When asked about the possibility of replacing the damaged pier cap, Reddy explained, "The removal of oil from the steel reinforcement bars will be facilitated using specialized construction chemicals."
