Bengaluru: MLA cries in Assembly session over lack of drinking water

Bengaluru, Dec 18: Hassan district Arasikere MLA KM Shivalinge Gowda (JDS) cried during the assembly winter session in Belagavi, over failure to provide drinking water to 477 villages in his constituency.

H K PATIL, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department said government will complete drinking water project soon .

Gowda had staged a dharna outside the Deputy Commissioner's office Hassan on Oct 21 protesting against the delay in completing the drinking water project for residents of Arasikere town.

Work on the 24x7 project began in April 8 in 2011 with the objective to finish it in one year.
