Bengaluru Metro: List Of Namma Metro Stations On The Yellow Line

Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya has announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially inaugurate the much-awaited Yellow Line of Namma Metro on August 10, 2025. The announcement was made via Surya's official 'X' (formerly Twitter) handle, where he thanked the Prime Minister for his continued focus on bolstering Bengaluru's urban infrastructure.

The Yellow Line, a key addition to the city's expanding metro network, spans 19.15 kilometers, connecting RV Road in the north to Bommasandra in the south. With a total of 16 stations, the corridor has been developed at an estimated cost of ₹5,056.99 crore.

Once operational, the line is expected to cater to nearly eight lakh commuters daily. It is projected to drastically reduce traffic congestion along some of the city's most jam-packed stretches, particularly around the infamous Silk Board junction.

"This metro line is a major boost to ease Bengaluru's traffic burden, and an example of how infrastructure can transform urban life," Surya posted.

Notably, the Yellow Line will include key interchanges with other metro lines: RV Road (Green Line), Jayadeva Hospital (future Pink Line), and Central Silk Board (future Blue Line), enhancing city-wide connectivity.
