Bengaluru-Mangaluru Train Services Halted Until August 8
Train services between Mangaluru and Bengaluru, suspended due to a landslide at Donigal between Edakumeri and Kadagaravalli near Sakleshpur, are expected to resume only after August 8, according to the Mysuru railway division.
The suspension of 12 trains between the coastal and capital cities of Karnataka began on July 27 due to damage caused by the landslide. Railway officials reported that construction of a retaining wall near the affected area is progressing rapidly, and track conditioning is nearly complete. Goods trains have been running on the repaired track for testing, but additional safety measures are being implemented for passenger trains. Consequently, there will be no train services between Mangaluru and Bengaluru until August 8.
