Bengaluru: Man thrashed by cop for making way for ambulance

Bengaluru, March 3: A good deed in today's time may go unnoticed. Sometimes if you do something good for the helpless the rewards may come to you as a blow.

It all began when a cyclist in Bengaluru made way for an ambulance that was stuck on a busy road.

Good samaritan gets thrashed from cops

The footage broadcast on News 9 shows the man removing barricades placed on the road to make way for the ambulance. But little did he realise that the good deed will get him thrashed by the traffic police.

Speaking to reporters, the Ex-Army officer said that the ambulance waited in the traffic for a long time. "Once the ambulance passed, the cop came and thrashed me. He said nothing but just came and thrashed me," he said.

Meanwhile, Bengaluru Police Commissioner MN Reddi apologised for the cop's behaviour and said that the cop was suspended.
