In a tragic turn of events in Bengaluru, a 32-year-old man, Sabarish lost his life in a dangerous gamble with friends on Diwali night. The group, having consumed alcohol, decided to engage in a perilous challenge where Sabarish sat on a cardboard box concealing a powerful firework. This bet was spurred by the promise of winning a new autorickshaw. However, the celebration turned fatal when the firecracker exploded beneath him, leading to severe internal injuries.
The incident, which has since captured wide attention on social media, was caught on CCTV. The footage revealed a chilling scene where Sabarish, surrounded by friends, became the center of this hazardous bet. One friend ignited the firework, and quickly, they all retreated, leaving Sabarish to face the consequences alone. Moments later, the explosive detonated, leaving Sabarish collapsed on the ground amidst a dense smoke cloud, with his friends rushing back in a futile attempt to assist.

The aftermath of the explosion was devastating. Local reports indicated that the force of the blast inflicted critical damage to Sabarish's internal organs. In the wake of this tragic event, law enforcement officials have taken swift action. "A case of culpable homicide has been registered and the six people involved in the incident have been arrested and produced before the court," Deputy Commissioner of Police (South Bengaluru) Lokesh Jagalasar stated, highlighting the seriousness with which the authorities are treating this case.
