Bengaluru Horror: Woman from West Bengal GangRaped, ₹50,000 Stolen; Police Nab All Suspects

A woman from Kolkata, West Bengal, was gang-raped in Gangondana Halli, Bengaluru rural district. The incident occurred on Tuesday night when a group of six individuals assaulted her and stole ₹50,000 along with her mobile phone. The Madanayakana Halli police have apprehended all six suspects and retrieved the stolen items.

The victim's son, who is just one year old, managed to dial 112 on a mobile phone despite being gagged by the attackers. This call alerted the police, who promptly arrived at the scene. Initially, they arrested three of the perpetrators involved in the assault. The remaining three were captured later.

Police Investigation and Arrests

The arrested individuals have been identified as Karthik, Naveen, Shuyog, another Karthik, Seen a, and Jungli Pruthvi. All hail from Madanayakana Halli. Police conducted medical examinations for the woman while treating two men who were also assaulted at NIMHANS.

Bengaluru Rural District SP C K Baba stated that on Tuesday night, the intoxicated group approached the victim's house claiming to be police informers. They accused her of running a prostitution ring and drug peddling operation from her residence.

Details of the Assault

Upon entering the house under false pretenses, three gang members assaulted two men present there and gagged the victim's son after he had already called for help. Meanwhile, others dragged the victim to another house where she was gang-raped.

Police sources revealed that although the woman knew all accused individuals personally, there was no connection between them or with those assaulted during this attack. Authorities are working diligently to piece together missing links within this case.

Given its sensitive nature, Nelamangala DySP is personally overseeing this investigation according to C K Baba's statement.
