Bengaluru Horror: Man Beheads Wife Over Alleged Affair, Surrenders With Severed Head at Police Station
In a gruesome incident in Bengaluru's Anekal area, a 28-year-old man allegedly beheaded his wife and walked into the police station carrying her severed head. The accused, Shankar, reportedly killed his 26-year-old wife, Manasa, after repeated fights over her alleged extramarital affair.

Couple Had Recently Moved to Heelalige Village
According to police, the couple had been living in a rented house in Heelalige village. On the night of June 3, Shankar told Manasa he would return home the next morning after work. However, he came home early and allegedly caught her with another man. A fight broke out, and Manasa reportedly moved out of the house following the altercation.
Repeated Harassment Allegedly Led to Murder
Over the next few days, Manasa allegedly returned to the house multiple times and harassed Shankar. On the night before the murder, she again created a scene, which reportedly pushed Shankar over the edge. Enraged, he allegedly beheaded her.
Severed Head Taken to Police Station
After committing the crime, Shankar carried his wife's severed head to the Suryanagar police station and surrendered. Police officers were shocked by the horrific sight.
"The couple fought last night. The husband killed his wife in a gruesome manner and brought her severed head to the station. He has been arrested, and a murder case has been filed," said CK Baba, Superintendent of Police, Bengaluru Rural.
Couple Had a Child, History of Conflict
Police sources said the couple had a child and had been arguing for over a week regarding the alleged affair. Tensions reportedly escalated after Shankar found out about the relationship during an earlier incident when he returned from work unexpectedly.
Following the confession, officers from the Suryanagar station rushed to the crime scene and launched an investigation. Shankar is in custody, and further inquiries are ongoing.
