Bengaluru Holi Clashes: How A Celebration Ended In The Deaths Of 3 Labourers In The City
Holi celebrations in Bengaluru took a gruesome turn on Sunday when Karnataka Police discovered three men lying dead in a pool of blood. The deceased, identified as Ansu (22), Radhe Shyam (23), and Deepu, were labourers from Bihar who got into a violent altercation with three others at an under-construction apartment.
The clash erupted on the third floor of Poorva Wall Avenue Apartments, where the workers had gathered to celebrate Holi. All six involved were reportedly intoxicated when a heated argument spiraled into a deadly brawl.

What triggered the violence?
According to the police, the fight broke out when one of the victims received a call from the sister of an accused worker. The victim had been in contact with her for some time, leading to a confrontation that soon turned violent. The workers attacked each other with bottles and iron rods, resulting in the deaths.
C K Baba, Superintendent of Police, Bengaluru Rural, stated that the police received a distress call about the incident and rushed to the spot. Upon investigation, they learned that the victims were plumbing and construction workers who had been on a three-day Holi holiday. The site supervisor was also on leave at the time of the incident.
