1. The Karaga festival, which spans nine days, is scheduled to take place between April 15 and 23 this year, predominantly in the Thigalarpet area of Central Bengaluru. Originating from a tradition initiated by the Thigalars, a Tamil-speaking community of gardeners, the festival is an annual affair conducted at the Dharmaraya Swamy Temple.

On the day of Karaga, a priest attired in female clothing leads a magnificent procession, followed by an impressive display of swordplay by numerous dhoti-clad, bare-chested Thigalars, as stated by the Karnataka tourism website. Additionally, devotees participate in a grand procession, carrying earthen pots on their heads, as part of the festivities.

2. The GenAI Summit 2024 is set to occur on Wednesday, i.e., tomorrow, at the JW Marriot in Bengaluru. The event will feature various sessions focusing on artificial intelligence and its implications and opportunities for technology, startups, and businesses.

3. The 86th Ramanavami Global Music Festival, organized by Sree Ramaseva Mandali, is one of the oldest and most renowned Indian classical music festivals, inaugurated in 1939. It is scheduled to commence on April 9 and continue until May 10. Traditionally held in Bengaluru's Chamarajapet, this festival promises to captivate audiences with melodies from the past.

4. The 23rd Spring Fest - Bangalore Rongali Bihu 2024, hosted by Bengaluru's Assamese community, is slated to take place on April 7 at the Freedom International School Grounds in HSR Layout. Attendees can witness traditional Bihu Kuwori and Husori performances while enjoying Northeastern cuisine at the accompanying food festival.

5. Kailash Kher & Kailasa Live: Noted singer and Padma Shri awardee Kailash Kher is scheduled to perform at Bengaluru's Phoenix Marketcity in Whitefield on April 27 at around 7 pm. Tickets are available at ₹999 per person.
