Bengaluru: Helmet Mandatory For Children Above 6 Years On Two-Wheelers
The Bengaluru Traffic Police recently conducted a targeted operation in the vicinity of schools. During this initiative, they issued a directive emphasizing the importance of helmet usage for children aged 6 and above, as part of their Helmet Awareness campaign.
Parents are urged to ensure that their children wear helmets while commuting to school. Additionally, they are reminded not to exceed the limit of three children on a two-wheeler. Violations of this rule will result in action being taken against the parents.

The Bengaluru Traffic Police have made it clear that they will not tolerate traffic violations such as failure to wear helmets, seat belt negligence, or reckless driving. Fines have been imposed on over 50,000 violators, with more than 2,300 individuals being apprehended. Those who fail to pay fines will face court summons.
Regarding the issue of hand signals while indicating turns, it has been observed that some individuals have repeatedly flouted traffic regulations. In one instance, a scooter valued at Rs. 30,000 incurred a penalty of Rs. 82,000 after violating traffic laws 158 times. Concerns have been raised by residents about the apparent impunity with which such individuals continue to violate traffic regulations across the city.
