Bengaluru Crime: 70-Year-Old Woman Murdered Near KR Puram

Bengaluru crime: According to the reports, a 70-year-old woman was found dead in Bengaluru's KR Puram area on Sunday late evening. The reports said that the woman's body was chopped into pieces and was found in a drum, dumped at an isolated place near an abandoned house.

After being informed, the police reached the spot and during the investigation, the deceased was identified as Sushilamma, who was living with her daughter in a rented apartment in Nisarga Layout near KR Puram.

Talking to the media, Raman Gupta, the Additional Commissioner of East Bengaluru said, "The victim was living with her daughter and 2-3 relatives. All their relatives live nearby."

The police informed that the perpetrators chopped the old lady's arms and legs, and her body parts are still missing. The crime came to light after locals complained about the foul smell, which later shocked everyone when a dead body was discovered by the police.

"The incident may have happened yesterday. I am here with senior officers to examine the spot," the policeman added.

"All necessary investigation will be conducted by our officers. We are actively pursuing the investigation, and we aim to catch the perpetrators as soon as possible," he further said.
