Bengaluru Couple Finds Cobra Crawling Out Of Amazon Delivery Package
In recent years, there have been multiple reports of online scams where customers receive incorrect items, such as stones or soaps, instead of their expensive purchases from e-commerce sites. However, a recent incident turned out to be a nightmare for a Bengaluru couple who reportedly found a live cobra inside their Amazon package. The couple, both software engineers, had ordered an Xbox controller but were horrified to see a cobra crawling out of the box.
A video of the package is also going viral on the internet, showing the reptile attempting to escape from the box. Fortunately, it got stuck to the packaging tape and couldn't cause any harm.

The couple ordered the Xbox controller from Amazon a few days prior. Upon delivery, the partner handed the package directly to them instead of leaving it outside. To their shock, they discovered a live snake inside the box. "We live on Sarjapur Road and captured the entire incident on camera, plus we have eyewitnesses to the same," the customer said, as quoted in an India Today report. They also shared that the snake did not harm anyone.
Sharing their grievances, the customer revealed that they were put on hold for over two hours by Amazon's customer support, leaving them to handle the situation on their own. "We received a complete refund, but what do we get for risking our lives here with a highly venomous snake? This is clearly a safety breach caused solely by Amazon's negligence and poor transportation and warehousing hygiene and supervision. Where is the accountability for such a serious lapse in safety?" they questioned.
The customer stated that the company has not sent any compensation or official apology beyond the refund and a formal remark on social media. "This is by all means not acceptable to us as Amazon customers and to their delivery partner as an employee. This is a clear breach of safety. Also, I do not think we will receive a satisfactory resolution anytime soon," they added.
In response to the customer's video shared on the microblogging platform, Amazon apologised and sought the order details for further investigation. "We're sorry to know about the inconvenience you've had with the Amazon order. We'd like to have this checked. Please share the required details, and our team will get back to you soon with an update," they wrote.
The video has largely caught the attention of the internet, leaving people concerned about the safety norms being compromised by the e-commerce giant.
