Bengaluru: College girl mowed down by BMTC bus
Bengaluru, Oct 19: Unaware of the fact that today was the last day of her life, an 18-year-old girl was on Monday, Oct 19, killed after speeding BMTC bus rammed into her, at Majestic bus station, when she was on her way to college, in Bengaluru.
Poornima was a resident of Balepet and she was the daughter of Sundar Murthy and Seeta.
The accident occurred around 7:30 am when she was crossing the road to catch the bus to reach Mount Carmel college, where she was studying. Soon after the accident claimed Poornima's life, the accused bus driver sped away with the bus.
While talking to OneIndia, Rajanna, the traffic control officer of BMTC said, "Till now, we have not been able to trace the bus and the driver but we have already sent officials for investigation".
While blaming the passengers who were inside the bus, he said that they just walked out after the fatal accident.
Meanwhile, her body was sent to Victoria hospital for post-mortem.
