Bengaluru Biker Shares Video Of Man Smoking In Auto; Altercation Goes Viral

A video capturing a man smoking in a moving autorickshaw and allegedly hurting a passing biker in Bengaluru has gone viral on various social media platform. The video, shared by the biker Sheikh Moin, shows a heated argument between him and the commuter in the autorickshaw near J P Nagar area in Bengaluru.

Moin shared the video on X, stating, "5:59 pm 7th Apr - Jp nagar 5th phase. This passenger in auto was chilling out smoking in public while his hand was out of the auto which touched my leg while the auto driver passed by me. When questioned I was pushed aside almost crashing me to the footpath."

He further added, "Vehicle KA 04 AM 8321 Offender claims to have spoken to @BlrCityPolice and provided my details. Not sure if it isn't clear to this person that it's illegal to smoke in public and create nuisance."

Moin mentioned that he dialed the emergency phone number and received a quick response from the local police, but the commuter fled before the police arrived.

The post was shared a few days ago and has since garnered over 170,000 views. It has also received nearly 400 likes. Bengaluru Police responded to the incident in the comments section.

Responding to Moin's post, Bengaluru City Police commented, "Noted, we have informed the concerned Police officers."

The video sparked a debate online. One user commented, "But the question is why were you driving so close to the rickshaw that it touched you, drive with some distance." Another user stated, "Just a few sorry and thank you would have solved this situation then and there. From where I see, it's an ego clash. Nothing else."

"There is no scope of burn. This is happening because of a helmet camera.... Lol... Nowadays people have problems with everything," a third user wrote. Another user reacted, "I have seen this many times. Unnecessary smoke for others."
