Bengaluru Bandh On September 26: Are Schools, Colleges Closed Tomorrow? Will Exams Be Held?
Bengaluru Bandh: All schools and colleges in Bengaluru will be closed on September 26 due to Bengaluru bandh called by various organisations to protest the release of Cauvery water.
The district administration has taken this decision as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students. Several private schools have already announced holidays, and as a precaution, schools have advised children not to come to school. The Ola Uber drivers and owners association has announced their withdrawal of support from the Bengaluru Bandh scheduled for Tuesday.

Due to severe drought conditions in over 195 taluks in the state and inadequate water in reservoirs, it is not feasible to release 5,000 cusecs of water from Karnataka to Tamil Nadu daily, as per a statement from the KSRTC Staff and Workers Federation. They have urged employees not to operate any buses in the city from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm on September 26.
Shops are likely to be closed as several unions have supported Tuesday's bandh.
Private vehicles, taxis, and autos are likely to be banned. Therefore, the district administration has proactively announced this decision so that the children do not get into trouble. Parents of children are relieved with this.
Bangalore University Exams Postponed
Two exams of Bangalore University have been postponed due to the bandh. The 2nd and 4th postgraduate semester exams were to be held on Tuesday, but they will now be held on September 27.
