Bengaluru Auto Driver, Passenger Clash Over Ride Cancellation, Sparks Social Media Debate | WATCH

In yet another auto rickshaw confrontation in Bengaluru, an auto driver was seen arguing with a passenger, accusing her of booking two autos simultaneously and cancelling one.

The woman, in response, denied the accusation, insisting that she had not booked the auto. The argument escalated, leading to a heated exchange. The incident was captured in a video that quickly went viral, sparking a debate on social media.

Bengaluru Auto Driver Gets Abused

In the video, the auto driver approaches another auto and asks the passenger if she cancelled his ride. When she denies this, the driver says, "How can you book two autos at the same time, madam? I've been waiting here for a long time, and now you've cancelled and gotten into another auto. What are you doing to us auto drivers?"

The woman, visibly frustrated, responds angrily, using foul language and attempting to strike the other driver, urging him to leave.

"I didn't book two autos. Why are you harassing me? I just compared prices in two different autos and booked one. If you've received a call, it's an app problem. Please leave and stop harassing me," she says.

She is also seen complaining to her father, who is on the phone, and taking note of the auto rickshaw's details. The woman is later seen breaking down in the video.

The incident sparked discussion on social media, with one person asking why customers shouldn't be allowed to cancel rides if the app provides that option.

"When a company gives a cancellation feature in its app, why blame customers for using it? Blame drivers too when they cancel. Or let the company collect booking fees and pass them to the other party. If auto drivers listened to customers, Ola and Uber wouldn't have become so popular," the user commented.

Another user pointed out, "While cancelling an auto ride isn't a crime, using such language and physically attacking someone is. I hope the police investigate and take appropriate action soon."
