Bengaluru: After 'Save Whitefield', now Sarjapura residents to march protest
Bengaluru, Dec 15: People in Bengaluru, the IT city, have been going through a rough phase. After Save Whitefield campaign, now the residents of Sarjapura came together to hold a protest rally against the poor infrasturcture of the locality.
Many multi-national companies, schools are situated at Sarjapura, Bengaluru. More than one lakh employees, who work in different firms, students, residents struggle everyday due to the poor infrastructure of the locality.

The infrastructure issues such as traffic jam, open drains, potholes ridden roads, illegal parking of the taxi or cab, lack of the sidewalk are yet to match to the need of the citizens.
Now, the citizens, who suffer everyday, raised their demand on an online forum - Change. Org.
The petition has gone viral since it was posted on Tuesday, Dec 8. The petition has gathered around 3,999 supporters from around the city.
The protest rally will be held on Friday, Dec 18 between noon and 2 pm at Ecospace, Iblur junction, Wipro junction and Cessna Park. The petitioner asked the participants to don either orange red or vermillion red.
The Petitioner claimed that their is 400% growth in term of economy but infrastructure of the area is yet to match to the citizens requirements.
They also claimed that the companies of the area pay Rs 100 crore as property tax to the government but only Rs 5 crore has been spent by the authority for the development of infrastructure.
