Bengaluru Accident: Auto-Rickshaw Crushed Between Two BMTC Buses, Two Dead
A horrific road accident occurred in Hosakerehalli Cross in Bengaluru on Wednesday morning when an auto-rickshaw got stuck between two BMTC buses, resulting in the tragic deaths of two people.
The deceased have been identified as Anil Kumar, the auto driver from KP Agrahara, and Vishnu Bhapat, an Ayurvedic doctor from Banashankari. Vishnu had recently celebrated his birthday, and his son, who had come from the United States for the occasion, had left for America just last night.

According to eyewitnesses, a BMTC bus from Sita Circle was moving slowly as a car was reversing in front of it. The auto-rickshaw had stopped behind the bus. Suddenly, another BMTC bus, reportedly speeding, crashed into the auto from behind, causing it to be sandwiched between the two buses. The auto was completely crushed, leaving no chance for survival.
The Banashankari Traffic Police reached the spot and conducted an inspection. The bodies were recovered with the help of locals and were sent to St. John's Hospital for further procedures.
Family in Shock
Relatives of Vishnu Bhapat are devastated. His nephew, Abhay Bhapat, said that Vishnu and his wife were likely heading to their office in Girinagar when the accident occurred. Vishnu's two children, both doctors, are settled in the United States.
This tragic accident has once again raised concerns over road safety and reckless driving in Bengaluru. Authorities are expected to take action against BMTC bus drivers involved in the incident.
