Bengaluru: 22-year-old man kills grandmother for damaging mobile phone!

Bengaluru, April 27: A 90-year old woman died after her grandson hit her with a wooden plank when, by mistake, she damaged his new mobile phone on Monday, April 25 night at Kadirenahalli in Banashankari area of Bengaluru.

According to media reports, the 22-year old Shivraj had kept his phone on charging in the drawing room of their house in night. His grandmother, who had poor eye-sight failed to notice the phone and accidentally touched it while walking in the room. The mobile phone suddenly fell down and its screen broke into two pieces.

After hearning the noise, Shivraj rushed to the hall where he saw his phone in a damaged state. Out of sudden anger, he grabbed a wooden plank lying a feet away from him and hit Lakshmamma on her neck. Suddenly, she collapsed out of pain.

Hearing her noise, all family members rushed and shouted at Shivraj for hitting Lakshmamma, and nursed her to sleep.

On Tuesday, April 26 morning, Lakshmamma didn't respond after family members tried to wake her up. Family members rushed her to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her dead.

Meanwhile, Banashankari police sent her body for postmortem and arrested Shivraj.
