Bengalureans love the rains but hate the traffic post showers
Bengaluru, March 3: Bengaluru is said to be blessed with good weather but when the rain gods decide to shower us with their blessings even the beautiful weather cannot make up for the traffic snarls that the city experiences after the rains.
On Tuesday morning, office goers were surprised by a sudden spell of shower in Bengaluru but what followed next turned out to be a nightmare for everyone. The city experienced traffic snarls almost at every junction.
From MG Road to Lal Bagh, to Malleshwaram and Mathikere, every office goer seemed to be stuck in traffic. Indiranagar, JC Road and Old Madras Road were some areas that experienced some heavy traffic.
Bibek Kumar Padhy, a software engineer with an e-commerce company told OneIndia that Domlur and areas around EGL witnessed traffic snarls due to the rains. "Once it rains here all the drainages start overflowing which results in waterlogging even on the roads leading to huge traffic jams," he said.
Some commuters were stuck for more than an hour in the traffic.
Here is what Bengalureans had to tweet about the traffic woes:
