BBMP polls: No NOTA option on EVMs for voters
Bengaluru, Aug 19: Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) civic polls are scheduled to be held on Saturday, Aug 22.
But voters will be disappointed as this time the None Of The Above (NOTA) option won't be available on the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
NOTA that was used during previous assembly and Lok Sabha Elections, will not applicable in the upcoming elections.

NOTA option enables voters to reject the candidates. This time, they will not able to exercise this option.
Aug 22 has been declared as a holiday so that more people come out to cast their vote.
6,733 polling stations will be set-up in 198 wards. Three helplines will also be set up for receiving complaints-08022374740, 08022224748, 08022221188.

Poll results will be declared on Tuesday, Aug 25.
Activists launch online campaign for NOTA option
According to reports, some Bengaluru-based activists have launched an online campaign to enable voters to exercise NOTA option.

One of the activist reportedly said that they are planning to file a PIL.
