Anti-climax during film shoot, actors drown during shoot
In a tragic incident 2 actors drowned during a film shoot in Bengaluru. Search operations are underway for bodies of 2 actors, Uday Kumar and Anil, who went missing during a film shooting in Tippagondanahalli lake near Bengaluru. Crew of upcoming Kannada film 'Masti Gudi' that sees Duniya Vijay in the lead was shooting the climax scene when the mishap took place.
The crew was shooting for the climax scene of the movie which included an aerial stunt of the actors jumping from a helicopter into the water. Duniya Vijay, the lead actor of the movie along with Uday Kumar and Anil, both playing villians in the movie, had to jump off a helicopter hovering over TG halli lake from a height of over 100 feet. The camera captures the trio jumping into the water but only Vijay made it to the bank. Local police claim that the other actors Uday Kumar and Anil drowned while shooting this action sequence.
The incident took place on Monday at around 3 PM. No safety measures seem to have been taken by the film's crew while shooting a risky action sequence. No motor boats or safety equipment were around to search the lake immediately after the mishap. Sources from the crew also allege that there was no prior practice or rehearsal for the shot.
