Another FIR Registered Against Prajwal Revanna In Sexual Assault Case

Former Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna faces a new legal challenge after a fourth case accusing him of sexual violence and perversion was registered against him. The complaint, filed by a victim, has led to an FIR at the CID Cyber Crime station. According to the victim's statement in the FIR, she initially met Prajwal regarding her son's school matters. During their interactions, Prajwal took her phone number and began frequent video calls.

In a disturbing turn of events, Prajwal allegedly coerced the woman into undressing during one of these video calls, while he engaged in inappropriate behavior. When she refused, he purportedly threatened to make the video publicly. Later, compromising photos surfaced on social media, prompting the victim to confront Prajwal. Despite assurances of resolution, the photos reappeared, prompting her to file a formal complaint.

Along with Prajwal, three others including former BJP Hassan MLA Preetham Gowda was also named in the FIR. SIT officials have expedited the investigation following the registration of the case.

Meanwhile, Prajwal Revanna awaits a hearing on his bail application concerning a separate rape case registered at Holenarasipur town station. Prajwal Revanna faces serious allegations of sexual abuse after videos allegedly showing him committing assaults surfaced just a week before the elections for the Hassan Lok Sabha seat on April 26. In response, the state government formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the accusations.

Recently, the SIT made two arrests in connection with the distribution of these videos. Chethan, who worked in Preetham Gowda's office, and Likhith, identified as Preetham's aide, were arrested based on a complaint filed by Poornachandra Tejwasi, a JD(S) worker, with the Hassan police. Tejwasi accused five individuals of circulating the incriminating footage.

The allegations against Prajwal Revanna include accusations from four women, one of whom worked in his household in Holenarasipura town and is a relative of Bhavani Revanna, Prajwal's mother. HD Revanna, Prajwal's father and the MLA for Holenarasipura, also faces allegations of sexual harassment from the same woman. Later, the SIT filed an FIR against Prajwal for allegedly sexually assaulting her daughter.

In a related development, Prajwal Revanna's brother Suraj also faces scrutiny with a pending medical examination pertaining to allegations of physical abuse and threats related to homosexuality. Scheduled at Bowring Hospital, the examination follows police interrogation and a previous medical assessment of the victim.
