Actor Prem Writes Letter To PM In 'Blood' Over Cauvery Row; Gets Trolled For Not Addressing Karnataka CM
A clip of Kannada actor Prem writing a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi has gone viral.
In the video, the actor is seen writing with red ink, giving the impression of writing the letter in blood. "To Narendra Modi, PM Of India, Please do justice for our Cauvery and Karnataka. Cauvery Nammadu (Cauvery is ours)," he said in the clip.

The video has gone viral with over two lakh views and close to 20,000 likes on Instagram by the time this story went for publishing.
However, his video has met with mixed response. While his fans welcomed his intent, large section of netizens slammed him and asked why he was dragging the Prime Minister instead of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah or Deputy CM D K Shivakumar.
"Why don't our cm has guts and don't do selective criticism and don't bring pm for everything," a user said. Second user stated, "Film flop aadre eee tara advantage tagolodu ...kelorna kelo yogyate illa ninage ....ade matanna CM matte DCM ge kelu nodona ?"
The third user added, "Anna nimma abhimana ke 🫡 ... yak anna yellaru Modi kodi anthira "hakri heyyyy cm sidda thakath idre neer bidebda kano" antha pathra bariri anna. ???? Dk ge pathra hakri...."
"There s CHIEFMINISTER also in Karnataka... show some guts to ask him," another netizen said.
The fifth user stated, "sir nive etara huchata madudhre public kate enu sir cm ge heloke agdhe eroru pm ge en heltira neevu. nam cm strong edhre Yav pm en madoke agute nan water bedala anta anli evru pm bandhu KRS athra gate open madtara first nam CM ge bariti amele PM ge. adhuna Pen nali not like this neevu celebrities nive inge madudhre nimana nodi nim followers in yasti madtare 🙏🙏"
Slamming the video, a user said, "I wish you little common sense and you wrote it CM of Karnataka @premnenapirali unfollowing this fellow seems like he is doing this with political agenda absolutely shame."
In the last one week, the state witnessed two bandhs - first Bengaluru bandh and then the entire Karnataka shut down. The pro-Kannada groups are exerting pressure on the state government against the release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu.
Amid protests, the Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) on Thursday upheld the decision of the Cauvery Water Regulation Committee (CWRC), and directed Karnataka to release 3,000 cusecs of water to Tamil Nadu every day, until October 15.
