45-Year-Old Bengaluru-Based Fitness Trainer Anil Kadsur Dies Due To Heart Attack

Anil Kadsur, a revered cyclist who served as an inspiration to numerous enthusiasts in the city and beyond, passed away on Friday morning due to a heart attack.

The 45-year-old fitness trainer, renowned for his daily 100km rides, had recently celebrated a milestone, completing 42 consecutive months of century rides, totaling an impressive 1,250 century rides. However, on the same night he shared this achievement on social media, he was hospitalized due to uneasiness.

Beyond his impressive achievements, Kadsur was admired for his humble and supportive nature. He readily shared his expertise and encouraged newcomers, earning him the affectionate title of "Dronacharya" for countless cycling "Ekalavyas." His passion for fixie cycling, evident in his personal fleet of six, helped popularize the style within the community.

Kadsur's journey began in August 2022 with a 10-day, 100km challenge. While others stopped after earning the medal, Kadsur continued, making 100km his daily routine. His dedication to this self-imposed challenge, fueled by unwavering discipline and early morning rides, became an inspiration for thousands.

Even as his fame grew, Kadsur remained media-shy, letting his cycling achievements speak for themselves. He expressed his intention to continue his century rides, which had become an integral part of his lifestyle. He even surpassed the record of an Italian cyclist with 643 rides, but humbly declined attempts to have his own feat documented in record books.
