4 Minors Detained For Waving Palestinian Flag On Chikkamagaluru Streets

Just as the incident in Nagamangala, Mandya district, begins to settle, another controversy has emerged in Chikkamagaluru. A group of youth was seen waving a Palestine flag while riding motorcycles through the city's main roads. A video of the incident quickly went viral on social media, prompting swift action by local authorities.

The Chikkamagaluru City Police have taken four minors into custody in connection with the flag-waving incident. According to reports, the minors are currently being questioned as part of an ongoing investigation.

4 Minors Detained For Waving Palestinian Flag

Authorities are probing several critical questions: How did the minors obtain the Palestine flag? Were they directed to display the flag while riding through the city? Was the flag display planned in connection with today's Eid Milad procession? A team, led by Inspector Gavaraj, has been formed to investigate the matter thoroughly. The police have taken the case seriously and have registered it under section 198A at the Chikkamagaluru city police station.

Local Hindu organisations have expressed strong opposition, accusing the flag display of being part of a plot to incite communal unrest in Chikkamagaluru, a city already known for its sensitive religious dynamics. The Eid Milad procession is scheduled to begin at 12 PM today and will pass through the city's major roads.

"Free Palestine" Banner Causes Stir in Koppal

In a related incident, a "Free Palestine" banner displayed during the Eid Milad celebrations in Gangavathi's Killa area, Koppal district, has sparked controversy. Hindu organizations raised objections to the banner, leading them to notify the police.

Responding to the concerns, local authorities quickly acted by covering the "Free Palestine" text with white paint. The controversial banner has since been replaced with a new one that extends good wishes for the Eid Milad celebration.
