31-Year-Old Bengaluru Man Found Dead in Pub Washroom Under Mysterious Circumstances

A tragic incident unfolded in Bengaluru when a 31-year-old man named Megharaj, also known as Meghanand, was discovered dead under mysterious circumstances at a pub in Rajarajeshwarinagar. The police are yet to ascertain the cause of his death. Originally from Maddur in Mandya district, Megharaj resided on Ullal Main Road and worked as a manager at Jana Small Finance Bank. He leaves behind his wife and their six-month-old child.

On Thursday night, Megharaj visited the 1522 Pub with three friends. They enjoyed beer and dinner together. As the pub ceased serving drinks at midnight, they settled their bill. Around 12:45 am, Megharaj began feeling unwell and informed his friends before heading to the washroom. Due to either confusion or the men's washroom being occupied, he mistakenly entered the women's washroom and locked himself inside.

Investigation Underway

His friends waited outside but grew concerned when he didn't return after some time. They notified the pub staff, who reviewed CCTV footage and saw Megharaj entering the women's washroom. Upon breaking open the door, they found him unconscious inside. He was immediately taken to a nearby private hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.

Deputy Commissioner of Police S Girish stated that Scene of Crime Officers had visited the pub following the incident. The body was sent for a post-mortem examination, and samples were collected for forensic analysis. "The forensic report will show the exact cause of death," said the police.
Unnatural Death Case Filed

A case of unnatural death has been registered by the police after Megharaj's brother, Vinay, filed a complaint regarding his sibling's untimely demise. The investigation into this unfortunate event is currently ongoing as authorities seek to uncover more details surrounding the circumstances of his death.
