According to a report, the deceased has been identified as Harish D, a resident of Veerabhadranagar and a native of Shimoga.
In what can be said as a 'selfie' act, Harish even tried to record his death by switching on his mobile camera. However, his suicide act could not be recorded as the mobile's memory was low.
His suicide came to his roommate Chetan's notice, when he returned home at around 9.45 pm. Chetan reportedly found Harish hanging from the ceiling fan when he peeped through the room window.
His suicide act could not be recorded as the mobile's memory was low.
Harish has left behind a suicide note in which he has mentioned that he was responsible for his death.
According to police, Harish took the extreme step as he failed to cope up with the studies pressure and had performed poorly in his exams.
His parents took his body to Shimoga after the post-mortem, to perform his last rites.
Meanwhile, the police has registered a case of unnatural death.
