25-Year-Old Software Engineer Dies by Suicide After Jumping From PG In Bengaluru's Whitefield
In a heart-wrenching incident on Thursday evening, a 25-year-old software engineer named Gautami, hailing from Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, tragically took her own life by jumping from the fifth floor of her paying guest (PG) accommodation in Prashant Layout, Whitefield.
Gautami, a Bachelor of Engineering graduate, had been working at a software company in Whitefield for the past two years. Her family resides in Andhra Pradesh while she lived in Bengaluru for work. On the day of the incident, Gautami climbed to the fifth floor of her PG building and jumped from the balcony, suffering fatal injuries from the fall.

Authorities revealed that she left behind a note that read, "I am the reason for my death," indicating her struggles. Upon receiving information about the tragedy, the Whitefield police rushed to the scene. Gautami's body was immediately transported to the hospital, where a death note was found in her room, stating, "My death is my cause, don't do a postmortem on my dead body."
The exact reasons for her suicide remain unclear, but authorities have registered a case of unnatural death and initiated an investigation. A postmortem was conducted on Friday, following which her body was handed over to her family.
Police are continuing their inquiries to determine what led to this tragic loss of life.
