24-Year-Old Monika Arrested For Murdering House Owner In Kengeri
In a shocking turn of events, Kengeri police in Bengaluru have arrested a 24-year-old data entry operator, Monika, for allegedly murdering her landlord, Divya. The motive for the crime is suspected to be financial gain.
The incident occurred on May 10th at Divya's residence in Konasandra Village in Anekal. Monika, who rented a portion of the house, allegedly strangled Divya to death. Police believe Monika's intention was to steal valuables and use the proceeds to help her boyfriend buy a vehicle and clear personal debts.

Divya's husband, Gurumurthy, discovered the crime upon returning home and finding his wife unresponsive. The lack of forced entry led police to suspect someone known to the family. Further investigation, including Monika's initial deflection of Gurumurthy's inquiries about Divya's whereabouts, led to her questioning and eventual confession.
Monika, who hails from Kolar, reportedly moved into the house with a boyfriend she introduced as her husband. However, she later resided there alone. Police sources also revealed that Monika had recently quit her job and was facing financial difficulties.
Monika is currently under arrest while further investigations into the case are ongoing. This incident has sent shockwaves through the community, raising concerns about tenant safety and the importance of thorough background checks.
