23-year-old woman molested by auto driver in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Dec 3: In a shocking incident a 23-year-old woman was molested by an autorickshaw driver and his friend on Tuesday night.

The lady boarded an autorickshaw on Tuesday night around 11.30 pm from MG Road to reach her home in Hebbal. After reaching half the way, another man boarded the autorickshaw despite the woman's objection. The other man was known to the driver.

At around 12.15 am, the driver parked his vehicle and he and his friend tried to sexually assault the woman. The woman tried to fight them and raised an alarm thereby alerting two people who were nearby who came to her rescue.

That is when the lady escaped and later on filed a complaint with the police officials.

Police officials have registered a case under IPC Sections 354 and 354 B have started investigating the incident.
