21-Year-Old Student Commits Suicide After Parents Deny Permission For Photoshoot

In a tragic incident, a young woman took her own life reportedly after facing resistance from her parents regarding her desire to attend a New Year's photoshoot, as per officials on Monday.

The deceased, identified as 21-year-old Varshini, was a BBA student at a well-known college in Jayanagar. She resided in Sudhama Nagar and was also pursuing a photography course.

According to the police, Varshini had aspirations to visit a mall for a photoshoot. Despite her readiness to go, her parents opposed the idea and prevented her from leaving. Unable to reconcile with her parents' decision, Varshini tragically ended her life by hanging herself from a ceiling fan. The Wilson Garden police have initiated an investigation into the case.
