19-Year-Old Bengaluru Man Arrested for Secretly Filming Women, Uploading to Instagram
In a disturbing case of online voyeurism disguised as content creation, a 19-year-old man was arrested in Bengaluru for allegedly uploading secretly recorded videos of women under the pretext of showcasing 'Bangalore Night Life' on Instagram.
The accused, Dilavar Hussain MD, a resident of Byrathi in Kothanur and originally from Manipur, was running the Instagram account under the handle 'Dilbar Jaani-67'. He works as a delivery agent for a leading food delivery platform.

The Ashok Nagar Police, who were keeping a close watch on social media activity, came across the obscene content and registered a suo motu case. The videos, mostly shot from behind, showed women walking in public places such as MG Road, Brigade Road, Church Street, Koramangala, and Indiranagar.
According to Sub-Inspector Nabi Saab, who filed the complaint, the videos were posted with the intent to gain followers. The First Information Report (FIR) notes that Hussain uploaded over 14 such videos in the last three months.
He has been booked under Section 67 of the Information Technology Act, which pertains to the publication or transmission of obscene content in electronic form. Authorities have also contacted Instagram to take down the account. As of now, Hussain has not yet been produced before the court.
This arrest comes shortly after a similar case on July 10, when Bengaluru Police arrested a 26-year-old man, Gurudeep Singh, following a complaint by a woman who flagged a page posting videos of women without consent. The videos were filmed in areas like Church Street and Koramangala and framed as content showing the city's "street life."
