There were some fake messages too which were posted on the social media sites. A picture of a leopard was posted, but later on it was found to be an image taken from a website.

Today 135 schools in the Varhtur, Doddakanahalli, Marathahalli and Immadihalli will remain closed. Forest officials who have been having sleepless nights say that they are looking for the leopards that the people have claimed to have spotted.

While officials say that all measures will be taken to ensure the safety of the people, they have also advised the people not to spread rumours and report incidents only if they are true.

Further the forest department has also advised people to stay indoors and take precautions. We are on the job, the officials say.

Meanwhile a team of forest officials have resumed their search for the three leopards that people have claimed to have spotted. The search operations are being carried out in the Nallurahalli area today.
