10-Minute Food Delivery: Bengaluru's Latest Startup Concept Ignites Debate
In the era of numerous food delivery platforms, getting a meal has never been easier. Now, a new contender, Swish, has entered the market, promising food delivery in just 10 minutes. This Bengaluru-based startup, currently operating in HSR Layout, aims to overcome the city's notorious traffic and deliver fresh, hot food swiftly. However, the concept has ignited a debate on social media, dividing opinions.
Ujjwal Sukheja, co-founder of Swish, explained the inspiration behind the startup's concept in a post on X. Along with co-founder Saran and founder & CEO Aniket Shah, they identified a common frustration among young people: the long waiting time for food delivery.

"We decided to jump back into the startup world. During our exploration, we realized that in HSR, you can get anything quickly-a dosa from a darshini in minutes. But online food delivery often involves a painfully long wait," Sukheja noted.
"We realized this problem is common to many young people like us. So, for them (and us), we are building Swish," he added.
Describing the new platform, he said, "What's Swish? A 10-minute food delivery app. We take care of tech, food, and delivery to minimize the delivery time for you."
Much awaited life update 📢

Sukheja's idea sparked lively discussion on social media. Some questioned the necessity of receiving food in 10 minutes, while others expressed concerns about the quality and freshness of meals prepared so quickly. Here's how people reacted in the comment section:
One user remarked, "Who asked for this? Why can't y'all build something useful for once instead of just continuing to exploit our awful labor laws and obvious lack of food & hygiene regulations?"
This is nothing the people have asked for and I would never order from such a facility knowing nothing healthy can be cooked in 2-3 minutes (considering the time to delivery from order is 10 minutes).
