Rajasthan CM Pushes For Use Of Artificial Intelligence In Agriculture, Says AI Will Boost Productivity
Rajasthan's Chief Minister, Bhajan Lal Sharma, has reaffirmed the state's ambition to become a $350 billion economy. This goal will be achieved through ongoing reforms and the integration of advanced technologies in sectors such as agriculture, infrastructure, education, and. The state government is committed to driving this transformation by fostering innovation and growth across these key areas.
At a recent meeting held at the Chief Minister's residence, discussions centered on agricultural reforms, logistics development, and employment-focused training. Sharma emphasised the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in agriculture to boost productivity significantly. He believes that AI can address various challenges faced by farmers and enhance overall farm output.

Investment Opportunities and Industrial Growth
The Chief Minister highlighted Rajasthan's attractiveness for investors due to proactive government measures. Initiatives like the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit and new industry-friendly policies are designed to create a conducive environment for investment. Additionally, the implementation of a Single Window Clearance System aims to streamline processes for businesses.
Sharma also announced the introduction of the Rajasthan Logistics Policy 2025. This policy aims to reduce logistics costs and improve industrial connectivity within the state. By enhancing logistical efficiency, Rajasthan seeks to strengthen its position as an industrial hub.
Skill Development and Youth Empowerment
Empowering youth through skill development is a priority for Sharma's administration. He reiterated his commitment to making young people "future-ready and industry-ready" with world-class vocational training programs. Officials have been instructed to improve both the quality and accessibility of these training initiatives.
The state budget includes plans for establishing logistics parks connected to the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). These developments are expected to elevate Rajasthan's logistics capabilities significantly, supporting economic growth and industrial expansion.
Technological Advancements in Agriculture
A Centre of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture was announced in the state budget. This centre will leverage modern technology to tackle sectoral challenges effectively. The initiative underscores Rajasthan's focus on integrating technology into agriculture for sustainable growth.
During the meeting, presentations were made on various projects including AI-based agricultural centres, Polytechnic Skill Development Centers, and Multi-Modal Logistics Parks. These projects aim to drive innovation and development across multiple sectors in Rajasthan.
The Chief Minister directed officials to expand skill training programs in agriculture. This expansion aims not only at improving farming techniques but also at generating employment opportunities for young people in rural areas.
