's bail plea has been adjourned to October 17, after a court hearing on Tuesday.

Narayan Sai has been dodging the law since reports of him committing sexual assault on one of the two sisters surfaced earlier this month.

Last Friday, absconding Narayan Sai had applied for an anticipatory bail in the Surat sessions court.

One of the two sisters had levelled allegations of rape on Narayan Sai.

Narayan Sai, who went missing, after reports of accusing him of rape, had issued advertisements in Gujarati newspapers stating thast he is not absconding.

The Surat police had issued a lookout notice on him and sent special team to trace him near the Indo-Nepal border as there were reports claiming that Narayan Sai may have fled the country along with his mother Laxmi and sister Bharati.

Meanwhile, the arrested Asaram was produced in Ahmedabad court today to question him in connection with the rape allegation by a woman (the elder sister) who was staying in his ashram between 1997 to 2005.
