Syria crisis deepens: Two ballistic missiles fired?

Damascus, Sept 03: Amid escalating violence in Syria, it has been reported that two ballistic missiles have been fired towards Deir ez-Zor, the 6th largest city in Syria and the largest in the eastern part of Syria, on Tuesday.
According to reports, two ballistic objects were fired from the central Mediterranean toward the eastern part of the sea at around 10.16 am (Moscow time).
The Russian Defence Ministry claims that two 'ballistic objects' were detected by the Russian radar, that reportedly fell into the Mediterranean Sea.
Syrian sources have claimed that Syrian Radar does not detect any missiles.
The Russian Embassy in Syria has denied any information regarding the firing of any ballistic missile or any explosion.
Israel said it had carried out a missile test in the Mediterranean Sea. The Defense Ministry said today that a single missile was fired. It had no other details.
The United States, which has warships in the Mediterranean, is considering strikes against Syria for an August 21 alleged chemical weapons attack in a Damascus suburb.
Meanwhile, the Syrian security agency sources have claimed that Syrian Radar does not detect any missiles.
