Asaram agrees spending time with girl but denies committing rape

, who defended himself and said that 'nothing is wrong if a grandfather spends some time with his granddaughter.'

Asaram, who is currently in judicial custody, remained defiant about the rape charges but agreed on Tuesday, to have spent some time alone with the 16-year-old girl, who has accused him of raping her.

He said that, 'There is nothing wrong if a grandfather spends time with his grand-daughter' and that he had a very 'loving' conversation with her.

Asaram had earlier, cleared a potency test conducted on him by a team of three doctors, who established that he was not impotent as opposed to his claims. The test conducted revealed that he was indeed potent and capable of committing rape.

Asaram's son on the other hand has been constantly shielding his father against the rape charges. He had previously called the victim 'mentally unstable' and on the day of Asaram's arrest said that his father was not well and sought some additional time to appear before the police.
