Mumbai gangrape accused attacked outside court with eggs
All the five accused were on their way to the court in police vans, when they were attacked right outside the court. The women were raising slogans and pelted eggs at their vans.
There were also some reports that suggested that the accused were attacked with an axe but there is not confirmation about the same.
The protesters were then detained by the police officials.

One can understand the outrage the public shows but this event also brings to light serious security issues also around the court areas.
The accused were arrested for gangraping a 22-year-old photojournalist on August 22 in the deserted Shakti Mills compound. The photojournalist, who was interning with a magazine, was on an assignment that evening and was accompanied by another male colleague. She had entered the compound in order to click some pictures when she was approached by the accused.
