Coal scam: Supreme Court slams CBI, government for missing files
Bangalore, Aug 29; The Supreme Court on Thursday slammed the CBI for the slow progress in the inquiry of coal block allocation scam.
The Supreme Court also slammed the government on the missing files related to the coal scam.

"Why was no FIR has been lodged for the missing documents?" the apex court asked the government.
"You have to pick up speed for concluding the probe against all 169 companies allegedly involved in the scam," the Supreme Court told the CBI.
"You can't sit over documents which must be provided to CBI," the Supreme Court said to the Centre.
Meanwhile the CBI has given a statement that it had not received many crucial files from the government which resulted in the delay of the probe, and has assured the court that the probe will be completed in four-five months.
