IM men charged for 2007 Hyderabad blasts
Hyderabad, Aug 28: Six years after the twin blasts in Hyderabad that claimed the lives of 42 people, there is justice finally!
The local court here has framed charges against four Indian Mujahideen (IM) members-Anique Shafiq Syed, Mohammed Sadiq, Akbar Ismail Choudhary and Ansar Ahmed Badhsah Sheikh-for thier involvement in the Hyderabad blasts. They were produced in the metropolitan sessions judge's court.

The court, however, postponed the hearing till tomorrow, after hearing the arguments of the defence and the prosecution.
These men had been first arrested by the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad in October 2008 and were later taken into custody by the Gujarat Police for questioning in connection with the serial explosions in Ahmedabad in July that same year. The Andhra Pradesh Police filed a chargesheet blast case and obtained permission for their custody.
The simultaneous blasts on August 25 at the popular eatery Gokul Chat killed 32 people, while 10 people lost their lives in the open air theatre at Lumbini Park,just a few metres away from the State Secretariat.
