Heavy rain across India (pics)
Bangalore, Aug 27: Rain and thundershowers have occurred in a number of places in India, especially over west Madhya Pradesh, Konkan, Goa, the SubHimalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and at a few places over the Gangetic West Bengal, Vidarbha, Jharkhand, South interior Karnataka, and Lakshadweep.
Some of the other places to have received heavy rainfall include Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, northeastern states and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. However, Weather remained mainly dry in the rest of the country.
Heavy rainfall is likely to occur in the above-mentioned places in the next few days. However, the met department has specified Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, east Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and northeastern states for such weather conditions.
Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka, during the next 48 hours.
