Have you seen Sidhu?
Amritsar, Aug 27: Yes, you are absolutely correct. Navjot Singh Sidhu, former cricketer turned BJP MP, is missing...but from the scene of politics. And expressing their concern on his absence from his constituency are the posters that adorn the pillars and posts of Amritsar.
In fact, these posters were put up by an NGO-Amritsar Sangharsh Samiti-in order to the wake the MP toward the promises he had made. "Sidhu had made tall promises to the people of his constituency about making Amritsar like Paris, but has betrayed us", said Raman Bakshi-the President of Amritsar Sangharsh Samiti.
Showing clear signs of irresponsibility, the MP, instead of catering to various problems in Amritsar is doing TV serials. Amritsar is said to be facing problems of unavailability of sand and tax levying on properties.
The NGO has tried to reach him in vain as his assistant informed every time they called that he was busy. So, as the last resort, the NGO tried to reach out to the MP in this way. In fact, they have also promised an award of Rs 2 lakh to the one who brought him home.
