Terrorist attacks in South Kashmir, 2 policemen killed

Srinagar, Aug 26: Two policemen were killed in separate terrorist attacks in southern Jammu and Kashmir on Monday. A combing operation had been launched to nab the terrorists.

The state has come under severe attacks from the terrorists this year and security experts believe the execution of Afzal Guru, convicted in the 2001 terror attack on Parliament, in Tihar Jail in New Delhi.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Army opened fire at the Indian soldiers along the Line of Control in the Mendhar and Poonch sectors of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday. Forty incidents of violations of the LoC have been reported in the last 20 days.
