Mumbai gangrape: Accused did similar acts in past and yet escaped!

Mumbai, Aug 26: They did similar things in the past and yet got away with it! The shocking revelation was made by one of the five accused of gangraping a photojournalist inside an abandoned factory in southern Mumbai, reports said.

Sources said Vijay Jadav, one of the accused members of the gang, told the police that in the past, they had raped women at the same Shakti Mills compound and filmed them as a threat to stop them from approaching the police. Yet, the hand of the law fell short of catching hold of them.

Victim was asked to clean up evidence after crime

Meanwhile, it was learnt that the culprits forced the victim to clean up the evidence after committing the grave crime. They reportedly asked her to get dressed, pick up her things and check that she and her male friend, who was tied up before the crime, did nor forget anything which could be used as an evidence.

They then took photos of the woman and threatened to kill her if she revealed about the crime to anyone. The mobile phones, from which the photos were clicked and were seized, will be used as an evidence against the accused in the court.
