In Pics: The Hyderabad Marathon attended by thousands across city

Hyderabad, Aug 26: The third edition of Airtel Hyderabad Marathon was held on August 25. Ram Singh Yadav and Jyoti Singh were the champions at the Marathon held on Sunday morning.

The full marathon (42.195 km) was flagged off at People's Plaza at 5 am with the finishing point set at the GMC Balayogi Stadium, Gachibowli.

With the organisers arranging plenty of volunteers to cheer the participants throughout the course, Ram Singh exhibited his endurance and determination by defeating strong challenger Samroo Yadav to get past the finish line first. Satya Bhan finished behind the duo to complete the podium. In the women's category, Jyoti Singh defeated Sudhamani to clinch the title. Indush Dhiraj came third.

In the half-marathon event - 21.095 km, Ramesh won the men's race, while Seema won the women's race.

Organised in association with Hyderabad Runners, the event featured marathon relay for four runners running 10.5 km each.

Hyderabad Runners conducted free specialised training sessions prior to the event.
