Monsoon clouds heavy over most of India

Bangalore, Aug 23: Southwest monsoon was vigorous over Gangetic West Bengal for a couple of days. IT was also heavy over Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, West Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamilnadu and Puducherry.

Southwest monsoon was very active over Chhattisgarh for many days.

Some of the other places to witness southwest monsoon include Odisha, Jharkhand, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Coastal Karnataka, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Gujarat Region, Konkan and Goa, Marathawada, Vidarbha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and North Interior Karnataka.

Rainfall is likely to continue in most of the above-mentioned states for the next few days.
