After a minor procedure, gangrape victim is now stable

Mumbai, Aug 23: On Friday evening, the CEO of Jaslok Hospital said that the Mumbai gangrape survivor is in a stable condition and underwent a minor investigative procure, following which the doctors said that she is stable.

A doctor from the hospital said that she had suffered internal and external injuries but is stable and not in the intensive care unit. She is able to interact with the doctors but is slightly depressed post the incident, the doctor said.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan told the reporters that the police will very soon nab the remaining culprits and the government will hand out the strictest punishment possible to them.

He also said that the government will bear all the medical expenses of the survivor. "The state government will bear all the medical expenses for the treatment of the victim of this crime," he said.
